Contact UsWhat Is Intense-Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy?
Intense-pulsed light and BroadBand Light™ therapies both use focused light, but they work at different intervals and different wavelengths. IPL releases light across many different spectrums, similar to a photo flash. This scattering and less focused amount of attention penetrates deep into the lower layers of your skin without harming the top layer. This allows the laser to destroy unwanted pigmentation, clear up freckles and other spots and stimulate revitalization, all without damaging the top, visible layer. While BBL can help improve larger areas, IPL is great at focusing on one specific spot for treatment.
Who Is a Good Candidate for IPL?
Good candidates for IPL are patients seeking remedies for blotchy, sun-damaged, or discolored skin. IPL also is an excellent treatment for rosacea. Pregnant women and those with especially dark, tanned skin may not be good candidates for IPL. Pregnancy comes with several inherent risks, while people with very dark natural skin tones may see long-term pigment changes with IPL. Most of our patients see tremendous results with IPL, but we will consult directly with you to determine if IPL is appropriate for your skin.

I had an IPL facial in early July. The place I used to go to moved too far away for me to continue going there about three years ago. I’ve tried a couple of other places but haven’t been super impressed with the results. I cannot remember the name of the nurse who did my treatment, but she was great. -quick check-in-recommended some products but didn’t harass me to purchase anything-for my IPL: my main concerns were freckles and broken capillaries. I am fair skinned and I am outdoors a lot. I wear SPF on my face all day, every day, as well as hats when I can, but every now and then I get an IPL to touch things up. Results were EXCELLENT. Dramatic improvement in both of my issues of concern. I will definitely be back.
AMAZING experience and treatments. Both NP Sal and RN Manal are extremely knowledgeable about fillers and Botox! I have had my lips done with Manal multiple times and every time I come in I leave with the exact results I had in mind. I have also done BBL laser treatments here and the results left my skin flawless! I’m extremely happy. The office is so clean and smells amazing!! Such a cute place you’re in and out in a bliss.
This is the best treat for yourself (especially for Christmas or special gift) if you are considering any enhancements to your face! Manal and Faisal are very skilled in their profession and I would not trust anyone else. After careful research and consultation with them, I was confident they were the right choice. I am 53 years old and have a virgin face. I have been wanting to do Botox for the 1st time. I am a very conservative person and like a natural look. They proposed a full face rejuvenation in detail and I am glad I did it. Faisal started with Botox and he has the most gentle hand. He used a device to detect veins so he would not inject them, something absolutely critical for not bruising. I did not bruise at all and I am super veiny. I looked fabulous in a few days! Then Manal did the BBL laser therapy to remove sun spots and melasma, it took exactly 2 weeks for all the scabs to flake off but the results were amazing. My complexion is radiant. Then Faisal did an under eye filler and a little filler to sculpt my chin. He is truly a face artist and knew exactly where to fill. It took my face a couple of weeks to settle but I am pleased with the results as I look years younger and no hollowness or wrinkles under my eyes. Lastly, Manal did lip filler. It is true she is the “Lip Queen”, as she knows how much and where to place filler by giving you a natural yet sexy voluminous look. Overall, I am pleased with their work, each one an expert and skilled at what they do. Lastly, their staff is amazing and the facility is clean and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend them!
Highly recommend panacea for Botox or any fillers! Very clean & organized office and such a friendly staff. I’ve been to multiple places in Newport Beach and nothing compared to this place. Sal did my Botox and he was so gentle , fast and made me feel at ease because I don’t like needles. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you!
where do I start?! The front desk is amazing they’re super patient & helpful -I feel like when I have questions or concerns or what options they’re always there to assist always professional, always a reminder call always a check in after service - The front desk is outstanding. The location is beautiful, easy parking and when you enter the building and walk into their studio it’s just gorgeous it’s clean , fresh and light. I’ve had my lips done twice here and it is by far the best job I’ve ever had! I’ve done my lips multiple times in my life but I won’t go anywhere else again. Today when I spoke with Sal he was saying he thought the hollowness under my eyes Was aging me and suggested just a little filler. I have to say it’s remarkable what a difference it made. **But this is key -he took the time to explain it , he heard my concerns about being over done and proceeded with it in mind. My lips are FABULOUS And I really think I’m going to enjoy the look of my cheeks and under my eyes- Even at a angle I notice it’s a more youthful look. I did a touch of Botox for the 11s. Another key point ; he stated using it in the center would help but using it on the outside would not do much so why overuse the product or waste money . What's the Recovery Time for IPL?
One of the best parts of an IPL treatment is the noninvasive procedure and limited downtime. The skin may be red and sensitive for a few hours as if you are slightly sunburned, but it will heal within a few days. Although some patients experience mild discomfort, this should not affect your ability to continue with daily activities. To minimize discomfort and maximize healing for the best results, our experts recommend regularly cleansing and moisturizing the skin, wearing sunscreen, avoiding hot water, and being outside for extended periods.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
The number of treatments is up to you and our experts, who will provide individualized advice based on your desired outcomes and needs. Some patients only require a few treatments, while others opt for six or more over a long period of time. Sessions should be spaced about one month apart to let your skin heal.
What Is the IPL Procedure Like?
IPL produces intense wavelengths of light energy that raise the temperature of the skin just enough to start the natural regeneration process and increase collagen production. Over time, you should begin to see a healthier complexion with an improved tone and fewer spots of pigmentation. After your consultation, our aesthetic team will formulate an appropriate treatment plan based on your desired outcomes. Before your procedure, you may receive pre-op instructions to help ensure maximum results. These may include special skin care instructions, avoiding the sun, etc. Before the device is applied, a gel may be rubbed onto the skin to help cool and eliminate friction. Once applied, treatment with the device may take around half an hour, and there may be a slight stinging sensation in your skin.
When Will I See Results?
After a few days of healing, results should start to appear in a week and then continue to increase as your skin heals and comes back healthier, smoother, and more refreshed.

How much does IPL cost?

How quick are the results from IPL?
Improvements can usually be seen after one session, but final results can be seen about one month after all of your treatments are done. It is common for you to get varying results after every session. You should see gradual improvements of redness, blotchiness, sunspots, and age spots over time.
What are the possible side effects of IPL?
Most patients have mild side effects like temporary swelling, redness, crusting, bruising, or superficial blisters. This should go away on its own in a few days. Your skin will be extra sensitive to the sun and damaging UV rays will negatively impact your results. You should also wear sunscreen to protect your skin and avoid problems like redness and spots.
