About Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers have become some of the most popular and effective treatments for signs of aging in the face. Our Orange County patients see dramatic results from these noninvasive injections, and like BOTOX®, the treatments are safe, nonsurgical, and can be done relatively quickly and with little to no downtime.

While BOTOX targets wrinkles and fine lines through one activation method, facial fillers work in a slightly different way. These gel-like substances are injected not to block nerves, but rather to firm and plump skin, providing volume to the face. They can plump and lift cheeks, chins, jawlines, and temples; they can fill out thin lips; and even restore volume to bony, thin hands. With our expert team's artistic eye, results can be remarkable.

At Panacea Aesthetics, we are proud to offer a range of fillers by JUVÉDERM®, including JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™, JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™, JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA™, and JUVÉDERM Ultra. Each of these injectable derma fillers targets a specific area and offers a slightly different outcome. Individuals interested in dermal fillers visit our Newport Beach office from all over Orange County and the Los Angeles area, and we’d love to welcome you, too.

What Do Fillers Improve?

Panacea Aesthetics offers a range of injectable fillers that each have a specific use and function. Our most popularly used filler products are:

Reduces age-related volume loss in the face. It also is used for augmentation of the chin region to improve the chin profile.

Diminishes moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds around the nose and cheeks.

This unique filler is specifically formulated to target the lips, both providing lip augmentation and the correction of perioral lines.

The best candidates for dermal fillers are those looking to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines or enhance their cheeks and lips without undergoing plastic surgery. In most situations, people with age-related volume loss or those who have recently lost significant weight can have areas on their face that are sunken in or uneven. These attributes make them great contenders for injectable fillers. They are also an effective option for women and men who are not comfortable with the scars that can result from a surgical facelift.

What Is the Procedure Like?

Dermal filler injection procedures are nonsurgical and relatively simple. After consultation, our team will mark specific areas of the face with a marker in preparation. Some topical numbing cream may be applied before the needle is injected into your skin. JUVÉDERM injections also contain a small amount of pain-reducing lidocaine to help minimize discomfort during treatment.

How Long Does JUVÉDERM Last?

Although individual results will vary by patient, results from our line of JUVÉDERM fillers usually last around 12 months with some requiring minor touch-ups at the 6-month mark.

How Long Does It Take to See Results with JUVÉDERM?

Results may be visible immediately, providing instant gratification, but it usually takes another two weeks to see full results develop as the injected gels settle into the skin. During this two-week period, it will be possible for your healthcare provider to make small adjustments in the results before the gel fully integrates with tissues and sets into a lost-lasting position.

How Much Does JUVÉDERM Cost?

JUVÉDERM treatments range from $750 to $1,200 per syringe, with the total cost depending on the area treated and the total number of syringes needed to achieve your specific goals. Our team will work with you directly to customize a treatment plan to determine pricing specific to you. We also regularly offer special promotions and packages that will usually lower the price of these sessions. To stay looped in, sign up for our newsletter and other updates from our team.

Panacea Aesthetic & Wellness is made up of an incredible team. Lana at the front is always full of good energy, kindness, and above all she deeply cares about each client. Along with Lana, Sal and Manal have been nothing but helpful! Both Sal and Manal have worked on me from Botox to filler and each took their time explaining all my options and making sure I felt confident and comfortable with any decision. I am beyond happy with my results and would refer this team to anyone. If you are hesitant at all I would give Lana a call and I promise you, she will ensure all your needs are met.

This is the best treat for yourself (especially for Christmas or special gift) if you are considering any enhancements to your face! Manal and Faisal are very skilled in their profession and I would not trust anyone else. After careful research and consultation with them, I was confident they were the right choice. I am 53 years old and have a virgin face. I have been wanting to do Botox for the 1st time. I am a very conservative person and like a natural look. They proposed a full face rejuvenation in detail and I am glad I did it. Faisal started with Botox and he has the most gentle hand. He used a device to detect veins so he would not inject them, something absolutely critical for not bruising. I did not bruise at all and I am super veiny. I looked fabulous in a few days! Then Manal did the BBL laser therapy to remove sun spots and melasma, it took exactly 2 weeks for all the scabs to flake off but the results were amazing. My complexion is radiant. Then Faisal did an under eye filler and a little filler to sculpt my chin. He is truly a face artist and knew exactly where to fill. It took my face a couple of weeks to settle but I am pleased with the results as I look years younger and no hollowness or wrinkles under my eyes. Lastly, Manal did lip filler. It is true she is the “Lip Queen”, as she knows how much and where to place filler by giving you a natural yet sexy voluminous look. Overall, I am pleased with their work, each one an expert and skilled at what they do. Lastly, their staff is amazing and the facility is clean and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend them!

About Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy

Another new technology in facial injectables is platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, which uses the patient’s own blood to restore and rejuvenate skin. PRP is a preparation of platelets in concentrated blood plasma with regenerative growth factors used to stimulate skin healing, collagen production, and other important proteins that support the skin.

Do PRP Injections Hurt?

Generally speaking, PRP injections are not painful, although there can be some discomfort. Some topical numbing cream may be used at injection sites to minimize discomfort. For the vast majority of patients, there is little to no downtime necessary after receiving a PRP injection. You may feel a bit sore for two to three days, and you may be prescribed pain medication to ease your discomfort.

How Does PRP Work?

Blood is drawn from the patient and then spun in a machine to isolate platelets and other healing factors. It is then resuspended into a platelet-rich solution, which is then applied to the skin.

How Long Do PRP Injections Take?

Patients are usually in the office for about an hour and a half. Treatments can be repeated every four weeks if needed, and aside from bruising, patients should experience little to no negative side effects.

How Much Does PRP Cost?

The cost for PRP injections starts at $600 and depends on your specific needs, so please contact us to determine what’s available for you.

All of these facial injections have major benefits and achieve slightly different results, so please come visit us at our Orange County medical spa, and let us work directly with you to formulate a customized plan to help revitalize your youthful skin so you can feel confident. About Us
How much do dermal fillers cost?

Your cost for dermal fillers will vary depending on the type used and how much is needed to achieve desired results. In your initial consult, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that best fits your concerns and goals. We will also give you an estimated cost for your treatment and discuss any current specials we offer.

How do I know which dermal filler is right for me?

The dermal filler used for your treatment will be based on which area(s) is being treated as well as your wanted result. Based on if you would like to improve fine lines or are wanting to get fuller lips, we will ask about your needs before recommending the correct filler for you. With so many dermal fillers on the market, it can be overwhelming to select which is ideal for you, which is why our team works to ensure you get natural-looking results and a rejuvenated look.

What is the difference between wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers?

A wrinkle relaxer, like BOTOX, treats lines and wrinkles (mostly on the forehead and around the eyes) by relaxing the movement of the underlying muscles. Dermal fillers restore volume to fill in wrinkles, fine lines, and some scars. Dermal fillers may also be used to create fuller lips and cheeks and to reduce the appearance of aging on the hands.
